Even after a few days absence, I return to find that people are still obsessed with my bush.......

no problemo but i have to warn you i take no responsibility for diabetes, heart attacks or death ... but what a way to go :)

    Tablet

    2 lbs granulated sugar
    1/4 lb butter
250 ml whole milk ( full fat stuff)
    400g tinned condensed milk
    table spoon vanilla essence

    Method

1 ) remove all children, pets and clumsy people from the room, they dont mix well with boiling sugar
    2) in a heavy based pan slowly melt sugar, milk and butter
    3) once it comes to the boil add condensed milk
    4) slowly bring to the boil stirring constantly
    5) keep stirring, carefully boil it for 15 mins atleast or until mixture darkens to a butterscotch colour
6)to test if mixture has boiled for long enough, drop a teaspoon full into a glass of cold water, if it is ready it will form a ball
    7) remove from heat and add vanilla essence
    8) beat the mixture until your arm falls off and the mixture has thickened to a very thick custard like state ( approx 20 mins)
    8) pour into a greased tin and allow to cool ( keeping it in the fridge when it has cooled enough)
    9) cut into squares and if any survives the taste testing keep it in an air tight container

it is delicious, it really is amazing, but as you can tell by the ingredients it is also very unhealthy

    enjoy

Thank you. Do you think it would work with caramel condensed milk?-we somehow have about 4 or 5 tins of condensed milk-2 of which are caramel.
