Credit rating effected by banks own error

Hello

I recently disputed a string of late payment charges with Santander I was asked to pay due to not fully paying off an overdraft balance I had with them. It's a long story, but the main point is that it was down to their error I incurred the charges I they refunded me the full amount and closed the account.

I was clearly happy with this, although I have just had a look at a credit rating report and it appears the effect of the who dispute has badly affected my rating as whilst the fees were written off, my rating still reflects the late payments the charges represented.

Am I just going to have to live with a poor credit rating for a few years or is there a way to get these removed?

  • Contact Santander would be first port of call.
  • Remember most banks only update CRAs once a month but I'd definitely get confirmation they intend to correct it preferably in writing.
    Defaultless as of 12th Sept 2012 :)
Listen here default Dave why don't you take your bullsh*t and stick it up your defaulted ar*e and then stick your defaulted credit report and stick it in your defaulted gob.
