  • The difference being that I am not a multi-national company and need the money or I wouldn't have sold the phone in the first place.
    I'm guessing the buyer isn't a multi-national company either, or they wouldn't have bought a phone second-hand off gumtree.

    The buyer paid £190 and hasn't received anything. Rightly, since they never got the item, they want a full refund - and it doesn't sound like they will settle for anything less.

    You can either refund them fully, now or wait for a court summons, which can only add to the bill... it's entirely up to you.
