Am i too late to reclaim credit card charges

Hi . Very new to this . I have cleaned out my filing cabinet and found credit card statements going back as the moment to 2005 . I incurred late fee payments or non payment fees as was going through a tough time . I have been paying back these monies over the last 6 years . But just relised i might actually be entilitled to some money back . Have i left it too long and if not what steps do i take ? I dont seem to have every statement but still looking ?
