    You must be mad BASFORDLAD

Whilst you are working away, doing whatever you do.

What is going to happen to your much loved car.

I think you forget that the large company that operates in Birmingham was run from Winson Green Prison for 8 years. They didn't just make money from clamping and tickets.

I work for local authority section and we get to hear about all of the goings on because people who fall victim think that we can help.

I found out the hard way, parking on my own car park but in someone elses space, I return to a nice scratch and 4 punctured tyres.

Having said all of the above, I'd love a private car park of my own to issue some of these PCN'S (Charges) Enough people just pay for me to retire on... If only, I keep dreaming

I don't understand all this now and I'm getting more and more confused.

With the new rules do we still ignore tickets from PPCs?

There is a new approach being formulated
Basically it will cost the PPC £32 per independent appeal.

So appeal to PPC. Then appeal to popla! Then ignore

There are a couple of detailed threads about it
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

As you say, whitelabel, you are indeed none the wiser.

However we have been discussing the Freedoms Act since the time it was first proposed over a year ago. It is NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. It does NOT suddenly make a private ticket enforceable.

In reality, it just means that a registered keeper can ignore the fake PCN rather than just a driver ignoring it. However, as has been said, if the PPC is in the BPA Approved Operator scheme then we will be recommending that EVERY person here appeals or deines liability and makes use of the POPLA appeals service.

Even if the motorist 'loses' the case, they can then revert to 'ignore mode'. It's not a binding decision (only on the PPC) but every single time it costs the PPC £32 plus. We know that some PPC owners are spitting feathers about the BPA stitching them up with this!

Can't wait to get another fake PCN, TBH! What's not to like?! :rotfl:
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

How exactly would vandalising someone's car encourage the owner to pay a parking charge? Particularly when the moronic ticket issuer doesn't even have any way of finding out who the owner is?

Well when a certain PPC owner was touting for votes to get himself onto the AOS board within the BPA he was open in his condemnation of the new independent appeals procedure.

I have it on good insider authority that he was concerned that 'it's a system that could be flooded with bogus appeals...costing us £27+VAT each time...' Apparently this individual had read 'disturbing comments on various consumer forums' that are going to openly advise people to appeal...to cost the operator £27+VAT.

He ranted 'who on the board let this happen – I certainly would NOT have supported it...!'

Yes i bet when he read this and pepipoo etc he was seething, we all know he has these forums open all day every day.

What exactly is a bogus appeal?

At least he knows we are well organised and people are going to be even more educated, i think this new act will drive more people here.

And when we start giving more formulated replies on exactly how to deal with this it will drive some of them loopy :j
