hi someone posted(I think in here) a link to a site that gives CC test numbers, so if you want to apply for an offer you put one of the numbers listed instead of your own 'real' card,
anyone remember the link

That sounds slightly suspect. I would make sure you check on the legality before you do that, it sounds a lot like fraud (but I may be wrong).0

It's possible to generate "valid" numbers that will pass the usual checks, although you wouldn't be able to bill anything to them (as there is no bank on the other end.)
There is nothing illegal about this.

That will do it0 -

Don't forget that some of the offers put a £1 (or less) authorisation hold on your card to ensure its "real". It won't show up on your statement as the funds are never collected, and drops off after a few days.
So using a fake card number with these companies will just generate a "We were unable to validate your details" response.
Doing it this way ensures you are entering a 'real' number, instead of just one that has a correct checksum.0 -

What "offers" do you mean?
I know that some shopping sites won't even tell you the carriage charge until after you've entered a credit card number (which I never give at that point) but I don't know of any "offers" that require a card no.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.
