Tuesday 18th September - What small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:
Morning all! It's always a bit risky starting the thread at this time so hopefully not a double thread today. Why does it have to be Tuesday? I'm not wishing my life away, but I'd rather it was Wednesday which is one of my 'days off'.
Okay then, DFW things so far today:

Morning stitchy thanks for starting us off! Quick list for me as leaving in a minute!
* check banking, decide weather to shift funds...
* transfer money from oh to house fund
* all meals from (friend's) stores
* check onepoll
* [STRIKE]post off letter to landlord and dd for sewing group [/STRIKE]- starts next week :j - stitchy could you do something similar? It has cost me £180 for the 20 weeks, I hav eto bring my own sewing machine. I'm guessing you can hire a hall somewhere v cheaply. Just think if there are 20 students that's £180 per 2hour session minus costs :T
* [STRIKE]go for a walk at lunchtime and pay money into bank[/STRIKE]
* go for a run this evening - maybe with dogs
* shower and early night again
* [STRIKE]see how much a film is on Amazon and might purchase it with my swagbucks voucher
for me and BFF to watch[/STRIKE] seeing if there are free options I can use rather than spending £2!
ok have decided to buy it and then have looked on ebay and should be able to sell it and make back my money
*[STRIKE] find out what notice I need to give talk talk for the move[/STRIKE]
* NSD
ok that's me for today! Oooooo the excitement! xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning All. Thanks for starting us off stitchy - can re-iterate what DNMS said about groups I went to a sewing class last weend as part of a hen party. We all paid £25 for 2 -21/2 hours. There was 10 of us. No sewing machines - just materials. Was fab - I thoroughly enjoyed it so, much so I am going to try and go back and do some more one of courses there. Let me know if you want the website details to compare what they are charging.
Anyway - list for today:
submit meter readings on line to replace estimates for latest gas/electric bill
Pay revised bill - move money from saved fund
update banking and spreadsheets
freezer inventory
chase up eye appointment for today - use free voucher for work
ordered 4 test frames on line last night to get super cheap via martin's e-mail
call BT about cancelling
work from home - have loads to do - must keep focused
washing on early - drying outside already
pop to stationery shop to get some stuff for work - use reward card and make sure stuff is nice
stationary is one of my weaknesses :rotfl:
Think that's all - have a good day everyone

Good morning, everyone!
Still a giant stress ball this week due to work. Was working until about 1 last night, bleh! Didnt make it to the gym but did make some very scrummy dinner for myself - stir fried beef in oyster sauce with mushrooms and spinach, om nom nom. Good news is that OH has had a fantastic last few days with his business so maybe thats finally working out for him, fingers crossed.
Have become a wee bit obsessed with the my fitness pal ap, thanks, WW! Pernie it looks like you are doing brilliantly on there. Some of the success stories on the forums are incredible! I dont have much to lose, maybe about 5 kg and stay there.
Anyway, today in MSE:
- book flights as was too exhausted to yesterday
- bike everywhere I need to go
- keep working like a crazy person until everything gets done
- get to the gym to keep sane
- fruit salad from fridge for brekkie, lunch provided by work
- l/o beef for dinner, maybe bulk out with noodles
- just try to survive until the end of the day!

Creeps in after being mia again!!!
Morning all. Thanks Stitchy for starting us off.
DNMS download the MFP app to your phone or go to the website and sign up. That's it. It's really useful especially on my phone as I can track foods while I'm eating them instead of relying on memory when I get home.
Today is a day off for me so I will

On top, but lots of junk in the trunk if you know what I mean
I've put some weight on over the last few stressful weeks, so hopefully can settle at an 8 and stay there. Its also very hard to eat a balanced diet here (ugandans eat about 90% carbs, and almost no veg at all) so its good to keep an eye on that department!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
