When you submit an appeal (and send in a med3 certificate or 'fit note') then you will be paid the assessment rate of ESA pending the outcome of the appeal - £71 per week.0

Don't forget to also request a copy of ALL the evidence used by the decision maker and to get advice from a CAB or other advice agency. Good Luck

As above... and try to focus on the descriptors for ESA.. the statements of disability that (help you) qualify for WRAG or Support group. Try to get any supporting medical evidence you can into the process of appealling."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

If you get income related ESA.

If you don't qualify automatically via income-related ESA then...
If you are on a low income you may be eligible to receive financial help through the NHS Low Income Scheme. To apply for an HC2 certificate, you should complete form HC1, which is available from Jobcentre Plus offices or most NHS hospitals. Your doctor, dentist or optician may be able to give you one, too. You can also get an HC1 form by calling 0845 610 1112.
Whether you qualify for help is based on a comparison between your weekly income and assessed requirements at the time the claim is made. For more information about requirements visit NHS: help with health costs.
You will qualify for a full-help HC2 certificate (which includes free NHS prescriptions) if your income is less than or equal to your requirements, or your income is greater than your requirements by no more than half the current English prescription charge.
You will qualify for a limited-help HC3 certificate if your income is greater than your requirements by more than half the current English prescription charge. The HC3 certificate shows how much you have to pay towards your health costs.
Certificates are usually valid for periods of between six months and five years, depending on your circumstances.0 -
So when I send appeal off with a med3 certificate, will they send me a form telling me I'm Receiving income related ESA ?0

As you are appealing a decision that stems for a 'transition case from IB (conts based) to ESA' the ESA you will be paid pending appeal will be contribution based ESA at £71 per week.
With this in mind you will not automatically qualify for free dentistry, prescriptions (ie by ticking the box) but you could qualify - based on household income, savings - for the means-tested 'help with health costs' in my previous post.0 -
