I know lots of people who have tried lots of different ways of tanking. You dont say where you are based but in south Wales we all have different levels of damp problems. Is it something you could do yourself?
Its better to solve the cause then "hold back" ingress by tanking but im sure you know this.2018 Wins so far:0 -

Am in London, problem is next door has built over the Damp proof course, so got no choice but to tank really.

If next door have caused the problem by building over the DPC, why are you having to pay to prevent the water ingress?
Surely their build should have fallen foul of building regs? Have you spoken to your Council?0 -

This is a house i am buying & this was pointed out by the surveyor, spoken to the council, they say nothing to do with them!!. TBH don't know how long the build next door has been up, so can't argue that its new.No one said it was gonna be easy!0 -

It is quite possible the build was done without telling the Council, hence no building regs were complied with.
If you have not yet bought the house, I'm surprised the lender has agreed to lend on it, given the DPC has been compromised.
Whatever, as the other poster has said, tanking is just putting a plaster over a stab wound - it won't cure the problem. The integrity of the DPC needs to be restored.0
