Afternoon guys and thanks for the hugs and good wishes. I went down to the pharmacy shortly after 9am and picked up my meds, so I was able so take one when I got back. I then put some washing on the line and lay on the bed for an hour and a half for a little sleep, before going down to see Mam at 12.15pm. I felt much better by then thanks, and have been catching up on here since I got back

Possibly due to some 'exposure' on FB but mostly on Twit One Directions Harry Styles has tweeted: @Harry_Styles: Just watched 'The Cove' and it's one of the best and worst films I've ever seen. Unbelievable. Watch it and see what you think..

Let's hope a million teenage girls also now watch the film.:j:j

That should make a difference - it is amazing what sway these celebs have :j :j :j

Hugs 3Dogs, sometimes a good cry is good for you, glad you got your prescription sorted. Sorry I'm only answering now but I took a long much needed lie in this morning

Diet fanta sweet and sour is a variation on diet coke chicken, or is that another one no one has heard of? Recipe below. Its a quick 30 min meal that tastes like chinese sweet and sour xx

2-3 Chicken breasts cut into strips
330ml Diet Fanta (or diet orange fizzy drink)
    4 tbsp Passata
    Chopped onions
    Vegetable Oxo cube
    Tsp vinegar
    1-2 tbsp Sweetener
Shake of dried chilli flakes (depends how zingy you like it!)

    METHOD:

    1) Cook the chicken until browned. Add the onions and cook until they soften.

    2) Add a can (or 330ml) of Diet Fanta / Orange drink, the passata, vegetable oxo cube, vinegar, sweetener and chilli. Add some chopped peppers and any other stir fry vegetables you fancy!!

    3) Let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until it starts to thicken up. If you find it’s too liquidy after this time remove the lid and turn the heat up to reduce it to sticky sauce.

    4) Once cooked stir in some fresh pineapple chunks and add to cooked noodles or rice.

Sorry forgot my manners, [STRIKE]morning[/STRIKE] afternoon everyone and welcome home Westie and HC

Thanks so much for that Sharon :A :A

Thanks Issey - I do use washing soda for drains etc so have plenty in stock. I take it you put it straight into the drum - and does a cupfull sound abou right?
To be honest I am always generous with it and pour a good quarter to half bag in the drum, first time I did it , it took three washes to clear the yuk completely, but now the machine is always fresh.:)

Somebody posted a shopping list last night with Ambrosia Rice Pudding Apple(190g) £0.66 £0.46 as the trigger. (they bought the wrong one and it worked)

Yes, these have always worked as an alternative to the 120g rice pots....there are another 6-7 low priced triggers too;)

  • Has anybody had conformation from HO that vouchers we have already above the £15 cap will still be valid. My store seem to think they are not taking any high ones after today :( I don't mind arguing my case if they are wrong but don't want to have to leave my shopping if they are right

But the 120 r is not the only trigger - I belive that there is also a 56p porridge, this was out of stock in my store today.

Does anyone know of any other triggers?

    Hi everyone!

Not been on for AGES... I've been adjusting to the life of being a doctor, it's hard, I did 78 hours last week and I'm on nights starting monday so a little bit scared.

Have tried a shop today and we'll see what happens.

As QOC mentions the ambrosia 120g original is swiftly being removed from shelves and replaced with apple and strawberry, saw this in 3 a stores today.

Ah well, will probably have cocked up, but there was nothing on there I wouldn't have bought anyway so all's well.

    Will post results.

henlans could you help me out on the new rules about the cap. ive done a big shop to consolidate a few smaller vouchers to keep for next months grocerys its £40 so does the new rules mean i cant use it or is it just from tomorrow any new ones?

im interested how the getting it put on a gift card works. is it just that easy to buy something small at cs and they put rest on gift card?

sorry guys im a week out of date as we have all had a stomach bugs and i need to get to mr a asap if it all finishes today

So far as the new rules are concerned you would be better advised to ask Asda HQ rather than Henlans :D. I did phone them today and they confirmed that only new vouchers will be capped and you shouldn't have any trouble with larger old ones. If they fuss about it, get them to call HQ and they will be told what they SHOULD be doing.

Asda would be on a very sticky wicket if they refuse them.
