Oh what a great way to express it budgie.
I have come across many a pickled herring in my life and a few pickled eggs ! no reflection on my OH but I have always been partial to a cocktail sausage! :rotfl:

Kitty my dear there is nothing at all wrong with a cocktail sausage, Budgie is partial herslef. ;) xxx

Well I've heard that things are going belly up on the thread again, I'm 40 pages of 40 posts per page behind, I've had the day from hell, so don't think I'll bother catching up.
I hope no one is in need of support and I'm sorry if I've missed anything.

Just a bit of advice.... make a will if you have loved ones.
Tonight I feel as if I've lost my Grandad all over again :(
My mum discovered his house had been put up for sale by my Aunty - who has no right to do this - 3 siblings, all equal share, nothing discussed.

So for over four hours tonight I've been to my grandad's house, routing through rubbish bins finding memories that have been carelessly thrown away, fortunately these could be retrieved... sadly I can't say the same for the bags and bags that were taken to the tip. And it's driving me insane wondering what has been lost forever.

My mum and I went over there every few weeks to just feel close to my Grandad, it still smelt of him, everything was how he'd left it, we'd have dinner from the chippy my Grandad always took us to and then off we'd go. Now I know that couldn't have gone on forever, but now our chance to say our last goodbyes to the house, to my Grandad, to the familiar smell, to everything we'd loved, has been ripped from us.
Today the house may as well have been empty, it didn't feel like his, it didn't smell like him.

So, don't think that families will stick with each other and all get along nicely, yes, many will be fine, but others can be so effing hurtful.

Anyway, just as I was getting far to upset I saw the meteorite breaking up, truly amazing and was like a little phone call from heaven, sadly not long enough.

I'll stop rambling now, I do hope you are all ok :)

Magicowen I really do feel for you I really do, Budgie has just recently left her job at an estate agents where I worked for the past 9 years.

Do you know it never ceases to amaze me just how some people are? You would take a phone call asking for a house to be valued, whilst you were looking at the diary a voice would say: " not next Tuesday though as its the funeral" I mean not to even wait until after then is terrible.

We recently had 2 house sales going through one was for a gentlemans whose brother had died, he used to come into the office never mention his brother but just kept going on that the house needed to be sold as it was holding the other money up!

By contrast we were selling a lovely little bungalow for a lady who had lost her sister, she would visit the bungalow every week and spend a day tidying and gardening, as she said her sister was always so particular and she couldn't see the bungalow neglected. She used to call into the office and talk of her sister all the time. Bless her. :A

But the estate agent must act on behalf of all parties and if you are not in agreement then a sale cannot proceed, it is very sad to think that treasured possessions have been treated in such a way.

You clearly love and miss your grandad so much, I am sure he is looking down at you and looking after you. :A xxx

am still catching up...as always so this is late

budgie...am so sorry to hear about you troubles with you dad. you've had loads of good advice...the hospital will be doing the best for him. You were very! kind to me when I posted about my problems, thank you. I like a lot of others will be here if and when you need a place to rant, cry or just have a general moan. You are a lovely person and you will get the support you need here xx

Thankyou Fairclaire and hugs to you too sweetheart and all that you are going through (()) but there has been some news today the hospital has rang and Dad is booked in for a scan next Thursday, you do wonder how many of these things that they need to do, but still things are moving forward, (touch wood). xxx

Well Budgie has done a womble :D 2 actually, the first one is a grand total of 59p  Go me. The 2nd one I am just waiting for along with my own shop.

I used my £7,27p voucher with no problem and I have only done one shop of 3 poo and 2 shower screen cleaners. To be honest I felt very conspicuous (sp) It won't trouble me that it is capped at £15 to be honest as I only want small shops just really to make my money go further.

I respect that we are all different and the comment is not meant at anyone or to cause conflict, but for me knowing that I can get products for free makes me feel uncomfortable, hence why I went online. But I am just a wimp sorry. :o I just did one shop today to use up my voucher I will be grateful if it works, I do just want to save some money, not to be greedy but purely to save money. As I said yesterday I did wonder to the rights and wrongs of it, but Walmart make huge profits and I have more than once been overcharged etc.

So everyone take care and I hope you are all ok? I have only skimmed as I keep getting my screen going ever so wide and I can't see the posts properly. :(

    Budgie xxx Ps
Cherish the ones you love and travel back on the road that brings you home :)

Magicowen - I really feel for you it is hard when you lose someone close and other members of the family just see it as an opportunity to grab what they can. When my mother passed my brother phoned the day after her funeral to ask when he would get his share of the inheritance - we haven't spoken since.

Take care of yourself and remember it's the memories that are most precious.

    good afternoon all :d

as many of you know my darling neice passed away at the end of july from leukaemia.:(

last month i won an "experience day" voucher through the redspottedhanky olympic games competition. It finally arrived yesterday:j i said at the time that i would pass the voucher on to those marvellous people at the "make-a-wish" foundation. Unfortunately it turns out that this prize is "non-transferable".
    Anyhoo, i was looking at the experiences on offer and one caught my eye. A 1hr pop taster where you get your own cd made. Whereupon last night in a drunken state (due to the glithching wine ;)) came up with the following idea;

would you donate 50p to hear mad sing? :o (i would release it under mad or something similar so i could remain anonymous:eek:). Probably around christmas time just in case it goes viral
All proceeds to go to said charity.
So i can gauge the potential please click the thanks button if you would. :aor ignore this post if it's a "jog on mad" :rotfl:

    bump...............
