First of all let me explain that I have had a very bad evening and night, so have had no sleep whatsoever last night and, actually, only about 4 hours the night before :( I ran out of my 'nutty pills' as Mr 3Dogs used to call them ;) or antidepressants as most would call them, as I was expecting to be back home by Thursday and had a full prescription ordered to pick up when I got back home, but with staying up here longer, I ran out, having my last one on Wednesday morning  The good news is that I managed to get a prescription faxed through from my surgery to local pharmacy yesterday and I can pick up a week's supply this morning, so normal service may be resumed later today .... hopefully :o:o

So, I caught up on the previous 30+ hours posts overnight, lying in bed, and it has took all that time, other than an hour or so about 5 am when all I could do is feel sorry for myself and sob :o. Anyway, lots of notes made, so here goes:

    Smidgeon (((hugs))) to you :(

Jamsponge - many thanks for the update on Tom and Misha, and I hope that the cove will again be blue today

rchddap1 - glad that your labour went well and many congrats on your beautiful little boy Zac Edward :j

justmaz - arh bless him, little Beefy Boy, thanks for the pic :D

Snap-Ant - well done on your first place in the quiz for Thursday I actually came 2nd, my best yet :j :j Not so good yesterday though :(

Budgie - I do love your posts :j Hope all goes well for your Dad, I can understand your worry about the delay :(

rhosynbach - I did love your 'stash' pics - the right sort of pots, not ambrosia :rotfl: :rotfl:

JumbleJack - may I respectfully request that you do not post any more pics of that banana jam, please? You had me drooling again ;)

Tinyshoes - sorry to hear that your Mum is not doing so well and her pain was not under control. It is such a worrying time for you hun :(

Sharon-p - quick Fanta diet sweet and sour dish????? more details please, pretty please :D

wackynut - many thanks for all the FB links for samples and comps :T

Rhett - I see that you got good advice re s/world, but would like to confirm that the ladies at group tend to 'look after' the men that attend class and support them. My Mr 3Dogs lost 7 1/2 stone through S/world and reached the Man of the Year finals in 2010 so it can be done ;)

Londinium33 - I see now how I remembered you from the DTD thread :(:(

wantnomoneyworries - glad to see that you got some advice regarding your DD and that you are feeling more positive about things now :)

Issyc - well done to your little GrandDaughter on her award :T :T

not worried about the 15 pound thing. will use my coupons and use my 7 pound ones as usual.

very lucky to be honest. have a lot of little a's to go to.

hoping that if there's a cap they'll be too lazy to question our little receipts.

Don't normally venture round these parts. Too much to try and keep up with. But hopefully a good place to ask.

Doing my usual Friday evening shop at Asda. While waiting on self service for an assistant to process an APG voucher I noticed a receipt on the next till along. I don't normally take much notice as they only seem to have a couple of items on them, but this one had about a dozen items. Stuck it in my bag as my good deed for the day. (the assistant was rushed off her feet so didn't need to go around picking up rubbish)

Pleasantly surprised when I checked it this morning.

    (Asda / Waitrose)

    1 x ASDA Chosen by You Bran Flakes (500g) £1.34 £0.96
    1 x Johnson's Baby Shampoo (300ml) £1.00 £0.97
    1 x Kellogg's Coco Pops Cereal & Milk Snack Bars (6x20... £1.00 £0.97

Only a £1.28 voucher, but no point wasting it.

So I wondered, How common (and profitable) is wombling at Asda?

Oh Magicowen, I so felt your pain from your posts last night hun :(:( It's odd, Mr 3Dogs and I used to buy from auctions, as you may know, and in particular, loved to buy ephemera - bits and pieces of people's lives, put into auction when their house's were cleared out - or, to look at it another way, a potted history of peoples lives :( Such a pity when all this is just thrown out like this, it is like their lives have been thown out :( It is so sad that no-one appreciated their lives enough to keep it, or perhaps they had no-one left in the family. You have 'rescued' some pieces and you have your memories in your head and in your heart :A :A
