Which vets do you use? When Purdy had to have a lump removed a couple of years back my vet quoted between £350 - £400.
Someone recommended the practice in Moor Lane and they charged £120!!
I find them really good and so reasonable compared to any other practices.....They are always really busy, people come from miles around. (Like me!!)
If you already go there, console yourself that it would have cost treble that anywhere else

Take out pet insurance if you can, ours has been invaluable well to put a value on it about £6000 in 14 month or so hopefully that is the end of it.
Come back for a check up 6 weeks after op with xray oh thats another £250-£300 :eek: and so on
Good advice - we have been thankful we have it more than once
