    What a day!

A possible repair bill for £700 from garage for husband's car :eek::eek:
Strange one...when you start it in the mornings , it starts then immediately cuts out, does this for a few times but then will go OK. No other symptoms. Called AA out the other week when I had his car and they told me it was possibly the fuel relay. The mechanic did take it on a test drive and all was well.
This week as husband been away with work and had no use for his car, we booked the car into a local garage to have the fault repaired. I spoke to the garage this morning and they said they had changed the fuel filter but made no difference and that the fuel pump needed replacing. I mentioned the fuel relay and the guy completely dismissed that as being the problem. I have since 'googled' what the fault could be and all indications are that it is the fuel relay or fuel valve.
We have used the garage for a few years and had no problems with them, been very happy with them in fact but my instinct tells me that, on this occasion, they are wrong with their diagnosis.
Going to visit the garage tomorrow and take the car elsewhere to get the fuel relay checked....fingers crossed it is that :)
    Born to glitch :D

I was expecting maybe 30 thanks or so but when I got in from A's ;) over 90!

I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew :o

I know things are tight at the moment that's why I feel 50p per download would be fair. (You aint heard Mad wailing like a cat:D)

It's not me raising the money it's you!!!
You would hopefully be the donators, unlike a certain supermarket with their donate £1 voucher that actually sticks a quid on your bill  so they can say oooh look what we have raised

Anyhoo, I shall stop right there, you truly are the Elite :A

Ooooh, Geminijes, are you attending car mechanic night class??!! :)
  • Not sure how this post will be received but in days gone by I know that people on this thread support each other - so I'll be damned and post anyway!
Its not in anyway glitch related just something to get off my chest - I have a 15 year old daughter who is struggling with her friendship group at moment. They often go out together without asking her! She gets upset, so I get upset. I've tried suggesting she tries to make other friends, but she does have esteem problems and doesn't think anyone would want to be her friend. Weird thing is the girl who calls herself her "best" friend has invited her to go on holiday with her family!! My daughter is a gentle soul and is the one they turn to when the others fall out with each other as she would not hurt any of their feelings. I guess they use her in a way.
Sorry if I've gone off topic but wanted to get it off my chest and this was the best place I could think of.

You have just described my DD exactly!! She will be 16 in a couple of weeks and has been battling bouts of depression since Jan and a couple of 'friends' have rattled my cage to the point they are no longer welcome in my home though DD still spends time with them. All I can suggest is for you to be there to support her when she needs it, she will come to realise who is truly a friend. Keep encouraging her to widen her horizons, I know the local youth group has been a lifeline for my DD, she has met loads of new friends, become a junior leader, been on team building days with zip lining, 4x4 off roading and was voted Chairperson on their new cross community Youth forum. In the past few months her confidence has soared and she has decided she wants to be a youth worker. 15 is such an awful age, especially for a gentle soul like your DD but she won't be this age forever. Sounds like she's lucky to have a parent like you

I really feel like I've been mugged today.

Took my puppy for a health check at the vet's. Took all of 5 mins to listen to heart, feel tummy, check eyes and teeth.

The cost for this 5 mins? £24.00

Geez they may as well wear a mask!

    Hi Rhett
Which vets do you use? When Purdy had to have a lump removed a couple of years back my vet quoted between £350 - £400.
Someone recommended the practice in Moor Lane and they charged £120!!
I find them really good and so reasonable compared to any other practices.....They are always really busy, people come from miles around. (Like me!!)
If you already go there, console yourself that it would have cost treble that anywhere else :D
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
