I really feel like I've been mugged today.

Took my puppy for a health check at the vet's. Took all of 5 mins to listen to heart, feel tummy, check eyes and teeth.

The cost for this 5 mins? £24.00

Geez they may as well wear a mask!

Well can I Budgie have a moan please?

Well I am anyway, poor Dad he had his bladder operation booked for next Wednesday and he spent yesterday at the hospital with a nurse explaining how his operation will be done and about the bags he will have etc.

He then went today for tests and was booked in on Monday for more tests and then the District nurse was booked to give him an enemma etc on Tuesday.

The hospital have just rang about an hour or so ago to say that his operation is cancelled as they need to have a camera to look at his bowel first.

He previously had bowel cancer and had some of his bowel removed they now need some for this bladder operation so need to check how much he has?

Its just so upsetting, with cancer it needs to be done asap as his chemo didn't work and the cancer had grown.

Poor thing was all set for his op.

Sorry but I just need a moan. I may moan again, please put me on ignore if you like.

    Budgie xxx

I had my first trouting todaay - did a double shop using vouchers for around£16/£17 on each. SA apologised that she had to get authorisation and called the Supervisor. She held me (and a long queue) up for around 10 minutes and then came back with a face like thunder, plonked the voucher down and said it could be put through but that she had 'written all the details down so she could sort out with HQ). No apology or anything. Unfortunately she had shot off too quickly ignoring my suggestion that she should take my second voucher with her and check that as well to save time so she was less than impressed when she had to come back again!

Transaction suspended and me and shopping carted off to CS. Nobody there had much idea of how the system worked or how to check my voucher - so it was inputted wrongly 3 times and the CS then insisted that the details didn't match and iI couldn't use it. All a bit embarrassig given that there were at least 5 other people queuing at CS and the staff behaved as though I had fiddled the voucher details. Took half an hour to get it sorted and , very grudgingly, my voucher as finally taken.

This is the first time I've had any problems at all - suppose it was too good to last - and I was not best plesed to be held up for so long and given the third degree. I phoned HQ when I got home and they said that they are well aware that the APG scheme is acting up and giving good returns but that it is their faut and that customer vouchers MUST be accepted and that customers should not have any hassle from staff. Re-training promised and I have requested a letter from HQ confirming its all legit. I shall make a point of going out of my way to go back to that store and using a couple of biggish vouchers once I have the letter. I don't mind them checking vouchers carefully but I object to rudeness.

Incidentally, this was the Penryn/Falmouth store in Cornwall.

Sorry to hear this, I've kept my email reply but got a sour taste in my mouth about it now and I daren't go back in to buy anything, which is a shame as I love the clothes in there and prefer the food to Tosco!

Red Fox duly noted and applied, however I have not yet been successful on posting any pics, :o I did try to post a hamper on the special occasions thread alas to no avail.

But I do take your point as I previously said, you are guiding the bow of the thread through troubled waters.
