Tom and Misha update from Born Free

It’s now over 4 months since Tom and Misha were released back to the wild after an intensive rehabilitation programme.

Misha’s satellite tag is still transmitting every few days and indicates he has found a favoured area with good hunting grounds. Tom meanwhile selected a location within a relatively confined bay which had high boat traffic and considerable fishing activities.

As with many wild animals, when conflict arises, it may be possible, when feasible, to relocate individuals to new areas in an attempt to reduce the conflict. Tom has therefore been relocated closer to the area favoured by Misha. Their behaviours since their release indicates they both prefer coastal waters; which is likely to be the habitat from which they were originally captured off Turkey.

Both dolphins have clearly indicated that they have successfully adapted to life back in the wild and now need to be left to live as wild dolphins.

As many of you know my darling neice passed away at the end of July from leukaemia.:(

Last month I won an "experience day" voucher through the redspottedhanky olympic games competition. It finally arrived yesterday:j I said at the time that I would pass the voucher on to those marvellous people at the "Make-a-wish" foundation. Unfortunately it turns out that this prize is "non-transferable".
    Anyhoo, I was looking at the experiences on offer and one caught my eye. A 1hr pop taster where you get your own CD made. Whereupon last night in a drunken state (due to the glithching wine ;)) came up with the following idea;

Would you donate 50p to hear Mad sing? :o (I would release it under Mad or something similar so I could remain anonymous:eek:). Probably around Christmas time just in case it goes viral
All proceeds to go to said charity.
So I can gauge the potential please click the thanks button if you would. :AOr ignore this post if it's a "jog on Mad" :rotfl:

If it is then we have both failed miserably :p

Btw have you had your evoucher yet?

Hope I get my last evoucher credited to my account, if its any consolation it will be nice to do some proper shopping. I had to laugh about the woman whose hubby wanted some ham and he was told in no uncertain terms a definite NO, he then went and sulked in the car. ;)

Who knows Asda may come out of it ok with people still using their store.

Off to the Dr's now see you all laters.

    Budgie xxx

Actually, I'm please with what little I've managed to get. Would have been nice to have gotten more of course, but hey ho :)

No evouchers yet.. I'll chase up next week :p

Asda will be pleased, as I'll be shopping with them in future. My OH is happy, he hated shopping in Tesco LOL

    Yep. :(

There will be no shame felt from this though.

Just the opposite. It appears this character thrives on exposure.

Well :T for the achievement. :(

You only have to look at the post above yours...the only person he's worried about is himself...
I was only just getting into it. :o

But I have only done 4 orders, I wonder if my last online voucher will be credited to my account.

Does this mean with the other apg vouchers that they cannot now be used, I have one from the beginning of Sept for just over £7.

I am just wondering if they have already issued them are they still valid?

Hey ho its a shame for the ones that were just trying to make their money go that little bit further.

I did wonder to the rights and wrongs of it to be honest, but Walmart is so big and has huge profits, like many on here I was not caning the glitch just using it to save some money. Like one poster said it would be different if it was little Mr Smith in his corner shop.

Still I shall be sticking around if you'll have me, isn't there a body shop glitch due soon. ;)

It's not actually finished yet BB...Just reported in an article..

I am doing what I said I would never do. Sorry.
    Yes, I'm quoting you.

    :(

So are the press :( Obviously the glitch wasnt going to last forever, and I feel sorry for all the people who were actually benefiting from this! Not just MAKING PROFIT!

I really cant believe some of the stuff that has been posted here over the past few days. This is an OPEN forum free for ANYONE, Asda/press/police to read. And whats worse is were all grouped together with the greedy few who are happy to resort to fraud. Guess now theres no profit in it youll all leave the thread, if there is even a thread left to come back to.

Poor Redfox kept trying to warn you all! :(

Thank you, but nature does all the hard work, I just take snaps of it. :)

I do love walking the beach after a big blow to see just how much has changed.

Theres one beach where the dunes appear to have shrunk. They havn't of course, its just the way the sea this year has pushed so much sand up to the head of the beach. Where the beach was once fairly flat it now has a very steep bank about 7 feet high half way down it. the sea has built that bank with millions and millions of tons of sand. Amazing.

Theres another beach where last year the sea had built a bar of pebbles. It was around 50 yds wide, 200 yds long and 7 to 8 feet high. Its now gone and the pebbles are just scattered everywhere and its all flat.

Your home sounds a lot like mine in Norfolk. I have sand dunes at the back of my bungalow but unfortunately they seem to be disappearing year on year. Some people have already lost their homes to the sea along the coast to us. Sea defences are too expensive so its a waiting game. Its very sad for the wildlife as well because the dunes and valley are home to lizards, rabbits, field mice, pheasants, adders and some unusual birds. Pictures like you are taking are a record of the beauty and you do it really well. Regards Maz

What a fantastic and generous idea Mad, and a beautiful way to honour your beloved niece, count me in too. And I really can't imagine anyone telling you to jog on in this situation xx
