    Thanks locarr.
  • Hello everyone,

I just wanted to say hi, introduce myself and say a hugh THANK YOU to you guys. I have a 4 year old and 6 month old so am currently on maternity leave, and maternity pay is not that much! But thanks to you guys I have been able to stock up on baby stuff and shampoo for me without it costing me too much.

I hope to be able to add some finds of my own at some point. :)

Yup I know I disappeared for the last week. But I have a great excuse.....and he's sleeping upstairs in his cot.

Zac Edward was born on 14th September at 12:48am weighing 6lbs 13oz. Labour was amazingly fast. Medically it was only 1 hour. But it was only 4 hours between waters going and having my little man in my arms.

Was kept in so long because of some medical concerns, but am home at last and all is going well.

Once again I didn't expect the birth for a good few weeks....and then he decides to come early. I will sort a pic out....but for now they're all on my camera and I have things all over the place.

Note: If someone would kindly fill me in on the current glitches I'd be very grateful. I'd imagine I have hundreds of posts to try and get through.

Congratulations, I am pages behind so hopefully I will come across some pictures of the new addition soon xxx :j

I would also like to say how enjoyable your photos are, it is so nice to see such beauty which we so often miss without even realising it. It is nice to see this thread peppered with such inspiration....maz x

Thank you, but nature does all the hard work, I just take snaps of it. :)

I do love walking the beach after a big blow to see just how much has changed.

Theres one beach where the dunes appear to have shrunk. They havn't of course, its just the way the sea this year has pushed so much sand up to the head of the beach. Where the beach was once fairly flat it now has a very steep bank about 7 feet high half way down it. the sea has built that bank with millions and millions of tons of sand. Amazing.

Theres another beach where last year the sea had built a bar of pebbles. It was around 50 yds wide, 200 yds long and 7 to 8 feet high. Its now gone and the pebbles are just scattered everywhere and its all flat.

Oooooh, I have exactly the same problem with the Bramleys and the courgettes this year, (you're not oop north too are you?).
This will be the first time in yonks I won't be able to make some spiced apple chutney.
Off to Google 'courgette chutney' now....thanks for the suggestion :T

No I'm nearly in the english channel ;)

Thanks for the recipes heynonnynonny and ilovecustard.
I've used some courgettes grated into cottage pie but hadn't thought of putting them in the bolognaise recipes I use.

Welcome to all the newbies
Isn't the thread feeling good at the moment? Hope it lasts :)
