  • I think I'm going crazy.
I hate when my kids go into my stash cupboard
and use the cereal. Actually, I hate using any of my stash,
I just like to look at it and rearrange it.
Help, is anybody else feeling like this?

JJ I loved the idea of diluting the big flash into a spray bottle :)Very Mse
I have read a few of your post about you finding berries & apples ect & just wonderued what sort of places you go to to find them, would love to take the kids out to go & pick some to cook with them but wouldn't have a clue where to start. I do live a quick drive near to woods ect but am I likely to find them there? Of is it just like pot luck if you do? Probably the wrong time of year now but will definitly be having a go next year :)
Plenty of apples cropping daily from our 2 trees love2shop and if u can find them out in the woods or in any natural enviroment they won't be sprayed with any chemicals , the freecyclers who pickd ours last year were more than excited about chemical free apples for their jams etc .
    Happy apple hunting .

He's a very lucky cat to have found you......sounds like he's had a wonderful life :)
My long gone puddy cat was an expert at opening hamster cages.....but the less said about that the better :o

:eek::eek: DD wants to have a hamster but I have tried to explain to her in friendly terms that it might not be a good idea with 2 cats

Just had a childhood memory of my mum chasing the cat with her brush as it had scooped the goldfish out of the bowl - cat dropped it and mum plopped it back into the bowl and it was fine

    Hiya :)

When you start looking out for places to scour, you will be amazed how many public walkways there are in your locality. Cycle pathways, canalsides, etc are all fantastic places to start looking.

I'm finding new spots all the time now I have the mind set to do so.
As I'm driving, I'm making mental notes all the time for new scouting ground;)

Even public parks can be great. Mine has 2 crab apple trees in :)

You are looking at rowan berries, elderberries, apples, pears and blackberries at the moment. :) You need to earmark some hazel bushes for the next few weeks too. Oh, and sweet chestnuts. :j

Rose hips can also still be found and hawthorn berries can also be used and are plentiful here.

    Happy hunting :)

I havent posted for a while but have been skipping looking at the fab pictures and reading the stories. I know you are lovely people and like me animal lovers so I thought I would share this with you. In 1990 we got a tiny cross bred siamese/alley cat (his mum got out naughty girl! ;)) Anyway we took him home, funny little thing, he looked a bit like a bat with his pointy ears and face. My boys loved him but when they went near him, as tiny as he was, he spat and went for them. So between them they came up with the name Beefy Boy :). He was a little nightmare, got up to so much mischief, he hid in bedside drawers, climbed net curtains, tore the furniture to pieces, stole food off your plate and generally caused chaos! We would regularly find dead animals under the kitchen table that he brought home. Anyway it is now 2012, he is still with us although the boys have all now married. He is deaf, he has arthritis (DH has put a ramp from the back door to the garden to make his life easier) and the sight of a bird in the back garden now confuses him. He is very fussy what he will eat but at the moment likes the Iams Senior as a side dish :D. We know he wont last forever and it will rip our hearts out when he goes, but what a lovely long life he has had :j. Thanks for reading.....Maz

I think you were all lucky to find each other - sounds like you have had, and are stilling having a lovely life together xxx

I will when we are down to just getting them out of the stash cupboard - as they are currently getting them from under the bed I think I am OK for a little while:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
