  • Hi All,

I'm taking the 'newbie' plunge and finally posting... A friend of mine pointed me in your direction a short while ago. Since then I've been doing lots and lots and lots of research.
I have done two shops which I messed up and put down to experience and one which produced a modest, yet satisfying apg.
Especially given that my husband has been made redundant and I've been told to shop at a certain supermarket to save money!
Now I have finally cracked it and have lots of cereal and cleaning products. Off to get some chocolate and wine tomorrow for the weekend!!

THANK YOU ALL who provide lists, guidance and general words of wisdom.

Hi, I've made a list to make things easy.

    Hope it's ok to share.

    Have I made any mistakes?

A v W Can mix all below in the 1 trolley

Thanks for this it saved my head last night whilst doing a shop last night :)

Warming up this morning with a hot bowl of mushed up Weetabix whilst waiting for my online shop to come, thanks BudgetBabe for all your helpful posts helped me pluck up courage to make the move online rather than getting another trouting
Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!
  • Many congratulations to rchddap1 on the arrival of Zac

Yup I know I disappeared for the last week. But I have a great excuse.....and he's sleeping upstairs in his cot.

Zac Edward was born on 14th September at 12:48am weighing 6lbs 13oz. Labour was amazingly fast. Medically it was only 1 hour. But it was only 4 hours between waters going and having my little man in my arms.

Many congratulations - you know I am ever so slightly jealous when I hear of these new babies. You can buy all the perfumes in the world but there is nothing to match the smell of a baby's head. Brings back wonderful memories - enjoy and try to get lots of rest.:)

    Morning All

Glad you feeling better Henlans. Thank you for the updated list.

Note to Self must go chocolate shop today!

Got distracted yesterday. Cleaned carpets, cooker house in general, that is the trouble with buying cleaning materials.

    Hope everyone okay this morning

    :j:j

Strangely I don't seem to have that trouble with the cleaning stuff, mine is all stacked in the garage.

Actually looking at my hair today, it doesn't look like my cupboard full of hair products is getting much use either. I'm too busy shopping! :o
  • Good Morning all.

Huge thanks to Henlans for comprising and updating the brilliant list.

Hope those who've been under the weather are feeling much better now.

Couldn't use internet last night, so still trying to catch up.

Did a choccie shop yesterday which all worked. DD isn't normally interested in A's but as soon as I mentioned chocolate glitch her ears pricked up and decided she had better visit A's with me just to make sure I got enough! Not sure what the SA thought when all I had was different types of chocolates and sweets, she did comment I had a 'sweet tooth' so told her my other child had a b'day coming up and they were for prizes and the party bags!!! When I left my DD was killing herself laughing as my other "child" is now in university! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Was kept in so long because of some medical concerns, but am home at last and all is going well.

Once again I didn't expect the birth for a good few weeks....and then he decides to come early. I will sort a pic out....but for now they're all on my camera and I have things all over the place.

Note: If someone would kindly fill me in on the current glitches I'd be very grateful. I'd imagine I have hundreds of posts to try and get through.

Congrats on you little bundle of joy x
    Shop one - A vs T
    Shop two - A vs W
    And then repeat :j:j:j
    & now add - A vs S
What the heck A vs the world :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Hi there from Belfast. Stick around I am sure you are great craic - so what would be your local then? P

Col***ne or at a push Stra***e, but neither are very handy. Rumours of one in Derry/Londonderry in the future which would be great.

    Morning all,

Just wanted to wish you all a good Friday, and add my tuppence worth to all the shenanigans. In my job (customers, pah who needs them) I quite regularly deal with people who think nothing of swearing, shouting and ranting at me. My general rule of thumb for myself and my staff is we don't get paid to be disrespected so if someone can't talk to us properly they're not to talk to us at all, until they can do so in a proper manner. The same applies to this thread, if someone is deliberately antagonising, being rude and not showing respect then I skip past their posts and ignore it. Actually more so on this thread as I don't get paid to be here. What I'm saying is you wouldn't put up with someone doing the same in 'real' life so don't put up with it here, if someone's posts are offending you then ignore them. These people thrive on attention and by giving it you're playing their game, right into their hands. Regular, newbie or troll is irrelevant, if they don't follow the basic common decency rules, then don't entertain them!

Does that make sense? right I really must get ready for work. Have a good day everyone.

    M x

Perfect sense and I couldn't have put it better myself. I ignore lots of posts because its not worth my time or energy to respond to such negative people.

Rchddap1 - congratulations, and welcome to the world wee Zac

I am having a shopping free day today - we don't need anything else and the cupboards are groaning. In fact I might spend a satisfying hour or two rearranging the cupboards today.

    Have a good Friday everyone
