Just had a horrible experience in my local store.
Daughter and I went in armed with our vouchers, I got a cereal/clean/dental shop she did coke/nivea. I went to one checkout she went to next one. I give the SA my voucher and she immediately rings the supervisor, as does the SA my daughter went to. Supervisor takes my voucher and receipt (and daughters) and disappears out the back. SA refuses to tell me what is going on. I am standing in the queue of people waiting, embarrassed, for a good 5 minutes and then the supervisor comes back out with a man whom I presume is some kind of manager as he has a tie and shirt on. He tells me and daughter that he cant take the vouchers and we have to pay for our shopping, leave our name and address on the voucher and he will ring us later once he has checked their validity. I tell him to stick his shopping as I am not paying for it, he is not having my voucher and I am not happy and will be ringing head office.
I go outside feeling utterly humiliated, rang head office and told them my daughter and I had been treated like criminals. She told me she would speak to the store and to go back in after 5 minutes, which I did. The manager person didnt show his face but instead sent an assistant to tell me we could use the vouchers, she also said the reason for this problem was that an email had been received by my store from another store warning of scammers, as they had received some dodgy vouchers. She also told me the store is aware something is going on, she has checked the receipts that have been kept with vouchers and has noticed the same products coming up (Iams etc), and she also said they werent happy about it and were looking for what was triggering it.
So anyway I got to use my vouchers but think I might give that store a miss for a while lol.
Please God, help me stop spending!

I noticed a display of original blue domestos the other day, marked up at £1. I almost bought some then I noticed it had something like "33% extra free" on it, so probably a different barcode from usual... maybe it was one of those?
No that's a different one thats n/a at W, this is the one that should compare.

I had the same issue at a store but I hammer that store every single day.. the look on there face when I enter the store. I goto customer services and I tell them that the shopping is for "who its for" and to check them first. They call CS and ask if its ok and each time they says YES. I then do my shopping and the looks I get. I smile.. and turn around.. If your cheaper then tesco you wont give out vouchers like this.

I have had 2 x £10 vouchers from this store because of the hassle I got at the start.

Last night.. I didnt goto customer services first and the SV come over to my friends shopping and went about the shop showing it to other SA.

When she come over to me I said.. I hope your not going to show your other trouts the voucher.. insted just call HO and check it out. She didnt bother to check it that time. I smiled and said.. Ohh.. your not going to waste my time today? she went off.

This is the SAME store that asked me to use another store and give there store a rest as they lose out on money. lol

1/2 hour before she gets in just spray the furniture polish in the air;);););)

...and give the taps a quick polish. Flowers will also hide a multitude of sins. :D
    Hope is not a strategy.
  • Im risking being shot for this but just seen these on mr s http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp 4 for the price of 3. There seems to be a lot of Aussie, dental and johnsons so I'm not sure if the current glitches are related? I mainly wanted to mention it as the offer includes a lot of shower gels and this is something a few people have mentioned they would like to stock up on! I am assuming if you were to buy one of the cheaper items (johnsons baby oil is 99p) and then 3 of the pricier items then they should compare? Can't get to sada again today to test but didn't want to ignore it. Don't want to annoy anyone so I apologise if this has already been mentioned!:o
    Looking for a fresh start

Thanks but I had already done a search all by my little self and reached the same conclusion before I asked the question.

But now that I have your blessing - I will try a shop later and post the results either way to help others.

They worked for me today - my list is a few posts above this one.
