22,000 people have signed the petition so far (well, it's probably nearer 11,000 people but with many of them signing more than once) and there are 978,000 more signatures required.

As the petition has been running for at least 25 days, the current crop of page 3 models will probably be appearing in Grannyporn by the time the required number has been reached.

No, they don’t.

Maybe the 6 O'Clock news and This Morning would be worth watching if they added a Page 3 clip.

Whoever organised this petition is going about it all wrong. People who buy the Sun know what they're getting (a comic full of drivel, bile, made up 'news' and pics of half-naked women), so the Sun know removing one of their centrepieces will only lose them customers.
What's really needed is some equality! I would gladly sign a petition demanding that the Sun include some risqu!/semi-nude pics of hot men on, say, page 4. Of course, topless pics of men don't have the same impact as topless pics of women (unless the men have breasts - which is fine! but not my cup of tea really) so they'd have to be a bit creative with what they choose to show. I think the odd cheeky glimpse of a shapely male bum in tight shorts could really improve their sales figures!

I can't help feeling there are far more important issues in society to worry about - stamping out all forms of domestic abuse, protecting vulnerable, homeless teenagers from being dragged into prostitution, that sort of thing. But hey let's worry about one page in one newspaper that people don't have to buy if they don't want to.
I wonder if the OP goes around beaches in the summer telling women to cover themselves up?

Page 3 is the most accurate page in the paper. At least when they tell you they are 36DD you can confirm its true, unlike any other story they run.
