How to calculate cost of using a Feliway plug in?

Hi,
I need to take my cats to the cattery soon, and asked whether we could take our Feliway plugin for them. For those that don't know, this is much like a Glade plugin but for cats, and releases relaxing pheromones.
Anyway, the cattery said yes we could take it, but that we would have to make a contribution to the electricity used
I was a bit taken aback to be honest, as surely it is only a penny a day or similar?! So, rather than getting overcharged, is there any way I would work out, just roughly, how much per day it may cost to have one plugged in?
The item in question is the 'diffuser' listed here:

Many thanks.

The label will have the power consumption on it ie 240v 10w. 1 unit is 1000w so multiply the w figure on the label by 24 and divide by 1000 to find how many units per day it consumes.0

Plug in diffusers are usually around the 2.5W mark.
2.5W*24= 56/1000= 0.056 units.
So beggar all in the great scheme of things.
Actually, scratch that, I've just dug out our old one. It says 6W.
6W*24=144/100 = 0.144 units.
So, still beggar all in the great scheme of things.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
These things work, sounds like snake oil to me?That gum you like is coming back in style.0

I can't believe they want you to pay for the electricity.
Thats just insane. Give them 50p and say keep the change.

Not sure I would leave my moggy (if indeed i had one, I'm more a dog person myself) with people who view looking after it as such a hard nosed business. Total embarrassment them asking for a contribution to the leccy.0

I think I would be looking for another cattery, they would probably not use the gadget anyway. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

This cattery wants to charge you extra for a Feliway plugin that uses just 6W of leccy!! Leave them well alone, chances are they'd also want to charge you extra for cleaning if you asked them to use a Feliway Spray!!
Find a better cattery.0 -
it might be they dont really know much about electric costs. i'd explain to them how much it would cost based on wattage (0.144kwh a day someone worked out above. which is going to work out at literally a few pence a day. They'll probably not bother charging you when they realise.I am an employee of British Gas but all views i write are personal and not a reflection of my employer.0

Thanks JoJo. The plugin arrived today but has no consumption info on it at all. So in the absence of anything else I will go with your guestimate :-) Is that 0.144 units per day or per hour?
For all of you commenting about using another cattery, this is our regular one which we have used for almost 10 years and trust. I wouldn't want to upset the cats by taking them somewhere else.
Having said that, I was very taken aback when they said I would need to contribute, and must say that they have gone down somewhat in my estimation
However my priority has to be the welfare and happiness of my cats so it's not feasible to go elsewhere.
If they try to charge me though I may well (nicely) argue that it is only pennies
EDIT: I think based on my original question being consumption per day, that this is per day then. We are away about 3 weeks so 21 * 0.144 = 3.024 units.0 -

Yes they do work, we had to use them for another issue previously. It releases a specific type of cat pheromone which puts cats at ease and so is useful either for stressful situations (fireworks night) or behavioural issues due to stress.0
