I do feel sorry for anyone who has a later slot (I've been in that situation so know exactly what it's like to miss out and you're right, most things are gone by then).

Sometimes I'm not sure if the things put on preview are actually on sale. Like for example, there was a hell of alot of Jamie Oliver kitchenware on sale and they were my priority. I had the first slot and did a quick shop and these were sold out literally at exactly 6pm!!!!! :eek:

I just find that ridiculously hard to believe. I also wanted the Jamie Oliver apron which showed in the preview yesterday but not today (I checked again in the preview and loads of things I wanted were no longer showing that were there yesterday). (Unless staff get access to VIP sales before hand or there's another extra special VIP sale!)

There were other things too but I had 83 items to get through so not a surprise that it took ridiculously long so missed out on a few things that I really wanted like the heart shaped kitchen book stand, the heart shaped ramekins etc. These were sold out by 6.30pm.

However this sale was better than previous mid season sales where I have found nothing to buy and the website worked for a change and surprisingly most things (asides all the Jamie Oliver goodies) were in stock!

Also, for those who asked if when added to the basket, it's yours. If you add it to the basket and it says it's in stock, even if you check out an hour later, it will be yours. It used to be the case where it would allow everyone through and so it would pretty much be whoever completed the checkout but I think they've upgraded their systems since then. Last year I stupidly removed an item (computer was super slow) and went back to add it on straight away but it was showing out of stock. Similarly, today I bought some things and once checked out and went back those items had actually sold out. Man... it's just as hard buying online as in stores... Got to have one of those "fastest fingers first" fingers!

I tried to get several things in the kitchenware section and they were showing as sold out at 6.01pm...

Had an email to say one item now can't be delivered. Hope they havn't caught Marks's stock problem!

Just had my slot - what a load of rubbish not bought a thing! Going to look on Saturday maybe, otherwise in a couple of weeks when people start sending things back

Nothing left that I wanted. I only really wanted the green pumps in the girls section. I ordered them full price as I saw they were going into the sale, so I've got them, just at twice the price.

I'm going to check back intermittently through day to see if anything else added but not holding out much hope!

Don't think they sent me an autumn directory either so perhaps I have fallen off their list?

As usual it's the same old stuff they have been trying to flog for the last 3 or 4 sales now. Not bought a thing.
