Have Asda stopped the £2 gift cards if prices were wrong?

got told last week that they had been
discontinued
were discretionary
were only given in special circumstances
by the same customer services agent and only when i asked her to tell me how she would explain
me waiting 20 minutes for her to wrongly check a price twice
and then having to wait further for the manager to come
would not be considered as special circumstances or come under discretionary did she reluctantly part with the £2 card.0 -
thought i would post as i work on csd at asda. £2 giftcard is given out if you are overcharged on an item ie a woopsie, rollback dosnt work etc . if you have 2 different mistakes on the one receipt you would get it twice ie a double scan and an overcharge but only 1 per overcharge so say u bought 3xsanex scanned at 1.20 instead of £1 you would only get the 1 £2giftcard. if say you picked up a bag of apples that had been "dumped" in the wrong place (person had came along seem a better offer and just left them there)a nice customer service person/manager might give you them at the cheaper price but not the giftcard. i would always ask a customer if they already had a giftcard-they can be reloaded£365 a year spend challenge - this has included food/clothes/beauty?? who knows where I am

I was overcharged but gift card refused because I had used the self scan machines0

an overcharge should be given out regardless unless its a double scan- if u are using the self scan then u have scanned it twice urself its not the shops mistake.or if it is a red label and u have peeled it off and scanned it.staff members need to price overide thesekrisskross wrote: »I was overcharged but gift card refused because I had used the self scan machines£365 a year spend challenge - this has included food/clothes/beauty?? who knows where I am

I did only scan it once. I have e-mailed to ask if the assistant at CS was correct.0 -
If you have problems with self-scan then don't use self scan. In my experience they are much more trouble than they are worth, rarely have I got through without requiring assistance for one reason or another and then you have to wait your turn. There are never enough sales assistants monitoring either, they are meant to be superhuman I guess.0

Had a phone call from Asda and I was right and sending me the gift card to me. They said they will inform the store of what happened.0
