hi can any1 help answer my questions?
i had an overpayment of £700 for the last tax yr of working tax credit which is going to be taken from me when i renew at the end of this tax year in march 2013 - i am pregnant however so due to the fact i will be entitled to child tax credit as my income is low enough i think they will take the money from my award of ctc. is this correct>
however when i make my renewal my income will be approx £14,500 for april 12 to march 13 but this will take a massive decrease to approx £4,000 for april 2013 to march 2014 due to maternity pay can i estimate this income to them when i renew in april 2012 or do i have to go my last tax years income which means i will be living on peanuts? am i right in thinking if your income drops more than 2.5k they will take the decrease in to account?
and last question can i make my child tax credit application whilst pregnant or do i have to wait for babies birth or should i class it as change of circumstance and ring them and tell them now?
thanks guys!
