Working Tax Credit - again!

I am considering starting a business and in the first year I will probably make a loss.
I have also been offered some work which I can do to run alongside the business. I would be an employee and would probably work 8 hours per week and earn (pro rata) £60,000.
Obviously I would not work sufficient hours to get WTC on the employed position, but I would be working the required number of hours in total.
Could I offset the loss from self employment against the other work I do. I know I can do this for income tax, but what about for WTC?
