It's not always because someone is trying to scam you!
I've been that buyer who asks for an auction to be ended early, not out of scamming or impatience but because I genuinely need the item before the auction ends.
Sometimes I've needed something urgently and not one listing for that particular item is on a BIN and I have eight or even ten days to wait on each one.
To give but one example, a good quality weekend-size suitcase was needed urgently (handle broke off mine just seven days before going on a trip).
My advice is, it depends what the item is and if the buyer is offering a good price. With antiques, collectables etc, always let it run to the end of the auction.0 -
I had a small electrical item for HGV vehicles.
Looked at some sales and they fetch £5 - £10. But lots go unsold.
I started one off at £5 + £2 postage and got an offer to end now for that price. I thought it cost me nothing, Given to me in a box of computer bits.
So why not, Saves me watching it for a week to see if anyones bought it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
