Monday 17th - What Debt Free Wannabee Things Will You Be Doing Today?
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning all,
Happy monday, just finished reading the weekend thread, sounds like you mostly had good weekends, mine was mixed, we had a family wedding (sort of) but my parents didn't make it (sickness) so it was a bit up and down. On the plus side, OH and I both can tell we've lost weight in the pics! Are very proud!!
ziggy - sorry you don't sound well
lots of love all round to everyone.
today I have/will:
- clicks and searches
- write down spends
- LSD if possible (do need to get a couple of bits)
- log calories
- get early night (need to get 6.25 train in the morning!)
- all meals from stores
- check banking
- check on auction ending in a couple of days
- print xmas list so I know what I need to get and what I've already got
Have a good day everyone

Morning all. I didn’t get chance to do a weekend post as it was fairly manic with visitors and chores. I did find time to make my Christmas cake from a MrS kit I bought at a very reduced price last December.
My DFW list for today so far:
· Breakfast from stores
· Fed and watered the chickens and asked for three eggs today – they’re getting lazy and I have customers waiting!!
· Used motorbike for work as cheaper than the car
· Checked for surveys
· Made packed lunch for work
· Just about managed to walk past the bakery even though I already had £1.05 in my hand for an almond croissant
I will also:
· Drink coffee/water at work
· Keep an eye on surveys
· Knit at lunchtime to avoid the shops
· ‘Bottom of fridge’ soup and fresh rolls for tea tonight
· Teach neighbour baby massage in exchange for HM banana loaf
· Have an NSD - number 14 this month!!
Have a great day folks

Thanks for starting us, LPP
Sorry that you're feeling rubbish, Zigs
I've downloaded that app, WW, wish me luck! Will start using it tomorrow. Annoyingly they dont have Uganda on their list of locations, if only they knew how much diet and exercise advice people need here!
I had a pretty pricey weekend -I had to buy a new smartphone as my work blackberry got stolen and I needed to pay for the replacement, so I got the cheapest android I could find. I bought a rather extravagant sideboard for the kitchen, used for about £50 (we desperately needed more cabinet and counter top space) and we had a load of friends over for brunch on Sunday to welcome my new roommie. Had a massive and amazing night out on Saturday with OH and some friends - its been too long since I've been dancing until 4! At least that was cheap as I was driving so just had water all night.
loving my new, super cheap gym - very energetic and friendly, and feeling comfortably sore today.
V stressful week trying to finish on a big activity at work. Anyway will try to remain frugal and healthy if I can.
- meal plan for week as neglected it last week
- motorbike everywhere
- book flights for hols in October (not very MSE but needs to be done)
- work like a crazy person to keep ahead of insane deadlines
- l/o fruit salad for breakfast
- lunch provided by work
- make a food shopping list for week
- scan and send back letter so I can finally get paid for consulting work done back in July (!!)
- gym tonight again if I'm not feeling yesterday too badly
- tea from plan and cooked at home
Hugs to allMortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010
