15 digestive biscuits (crushed)
15 marshmallows
15 glace cherries
Mix the above with a small tin of condensed milk and roll out into a suasage shape. Roll the sausage in desicated coconut and wrap in tinfoil. Chill for a couple of hours in the fridge then slice in inch thick slices.
Surprisingly enough these are called fifteens.0 -
Why do I get the feeling I'm going to be buying more biscuits when I go for those marshmallows

Hi
I was in somerfield yesterday and they had packs of digestives with 20% extra (600g) and then half price at 30p. Suffice to say I bought about 10 packets.....now I'm wondering if there are any interesting recipes I can make use of them in, simple ones though please.
In the past I have eaten them with cheese, and ice cream sandwiched between two biscuits......just looking for a few more ideas though.

Use them as a base for a cheesecake. Or a banoffee pie.0

They make a really tasty base for cheese cakes and key lime pie, spread with philiadelphia and strawberry jam they are scrummy or with chocolate spread.
Other than that I can't think of anything else...I wouldn't dare buy that many biccys, I would be too tempted to have a total pig-a-thon. x0 -
4oz butter
7oz chocolate
2 tbspns golden syrup
8oz roughly crushed biscuits
4oz chopped nuts
Lightly grease a 7'' sandwich tin.
In a heatproof bowl, over a pan of simmering water, melt together the butter, syrup and 4oz of the chocolate.
Remove from the heat and stir in the biscuit and 3/4 of the nuts.
Press this into the tin.
Melt the remaining chocolate, spoon on the top and sprinkle on the rest of the nuts.
Chill for an hour, serve cut into wedges.
You can use any sort of chocolate, milk, white or plain, or a mixture. Also works with most types of biscuits - digestives, ginger nuts, maryland cookies. I sometimes bung some raisins in too.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -
A quick sweet snack, spread Philly cream cheese on to digestive and top with home made jam, I like raspberry the best.0

Recipe:
Take one good strong teabag, preferably Yorkshire Tea.
Place in large mug and add boiling water.
Leave for 4 minutes to brew.
Stir and remove teabag.
Add a drop of milk.
Take digestive biscuit, check for structural integrity (i.e. cracks). Assuming the biscuit is sound, dunk in tea for 3.5 seconds. Eat biscuit. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
