Proving IVA was cancelled?
Hi,
In 2006 i took out an IVA with debt matters. I was miss sold the IVA andwith advice and help from the CAB it was cancelled not long after it started.
We then sat down and settled all accounts with help from my family.
A few months ago I put in a PPI claim and have received a letter stating Inow need proof I’m not in an IVA. My problem is I have no proof.
I have contacted the company and they have no record of me having an IVA andi was never registered on the insolvency register.
How would I be able to prove I don’t have an IVA?
Thanks for any advice.
Dan

If your IVA was approved and terminated, you should have received a notice of termination - did you get one?0

No as far a I'm aware I didn't! However I have contacted the IVA company to find out they no longer exist.
There is another company dealing with there existing customers and they say I have had two copies? Which I have never received?
They also say they have no details of my IVA so couldn't provide me a certificate!
Does this mean there's no way I can get a copy?0 -
You could try the court that your IVA was registered at - do you have a copy of your proposal stating which court it went to?0
