How do you know if a hairstyle will suit you?

Is there a website that can help with seeing if a hairstyle will suit you?
I have very long hair but am going on thursday for a radical change .....mentioned to the hair stylist I quite fancy the Victoria beckham/Jade Goody style, very short at the back with long bits around the face but now have looked at some more pics of them and think it is too short for me (not brave enough) I know I don't want a bob, don't want to still have long hair so which one?

www.hairstyler.com is good, costs about £8.50 for a 3 month trial, you can upload a pic of you, has all sorts on there, you can put styles on your head and see what you like, also answer some questions about eye colour, complexion etc and will advise best colours etc.

    Good luck!

Before you make the plunge thing long and hard.

I had very long hair and had it cut short. I cried for days and in hingsight should have gone shorter bit by bit. I would recommend having it to your shoulders with layers, bob style first and see how you go on.

Also short styles like that need 3 weekly trims to keep in shape. I found that to out my cost!
    I love this site

I agree that you should think for a bit before going for it BUT don't talk yourself out of it too much or you'll always play it safe. I went from having long hair to a short crop overnight and I only wish I'd done it sooner.

The one thing you can rely on with hair, it will grow back!

I have to agree with Fac!

I had waist length hair, until Feb, and it was my pride and joy, but it was seriously starting to annoy me. So much upkeep, and it never really had a style.

I decided, pretty much overnight, to go for the chop and booked an appointment. All the way there my mother sat and said, ooh you'll get a couple of inches off at the most.

I now have chin length hair! And I honestly love it. I don't even miss my long hair - I prefer it how it is :D

I just googled and looked at lots of pictures, and took one that had the basic style I wanted, and my stylist adapted it for my face shape and hair type.

My little sister is having her's all chopped off tomorrow lol.

I want to say 'just trim the ends please' but I know I really want to change the look because of the weight loss I want to be a 'different victory':D just have to wait and see I guess whether my nerve comes with me to the appointment:rotfl: :rotfl:

Ring & ask for a few mins extra to be added to your appointment (or make sure they know its for a restyle) then you can sit down with your hairdresser & talk over what you do & dont like & what will suit your hair!
I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I Know
