Romantic weekend, 28th Sept

Hi everyone!
Really struggling on somewhere to go for a weekend, arriving after work Friday 28th September and leaving Sunday 30th September.
I'm thinking somewhere chilled, hot tub, nice rooms (Travelodge out of the question!
) but nothing mega expensive. Just somewhere to have a quiet romantic weekend but with a bit of somewhere to go during the day for a meal/nosey around.
I live in the North West so don't mind a couple of hours drive.
Has anyone any suggestions please?
Thanks in advance!

A bit more than you wanted to pay perhaps but good for where you are located.

Why? I have never been but some friends go regularly, and they love it. Have you had a problem there?0 -
Yes, filthy, dirty, mould all over the shower, no-one came to visit the lodge to look at the hot tub let alone test the water the whole time we were there. Other breaks we have been to, the hot tub water has been tested daily. A few days after we came home I came out in a very bad rash, GP said it was due to the hot tub.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
