Buyer on holiday - not yet collected parcel

Hi
I sold some lingerie on Ebay. The buyer said she was on holiday in Poland and could I add her partner's name to the parcel address so he could collect in her absence.
I put both names on the parcel and sent recorded delivery. About 2.5 weeks have gone by and every time I try to track and trace is says "sorry no info available" I tried the automated telephone line without success.
I went to the post office where they checked and said its not been collected and it will shortly be returned to me.
What do I do in this situation if the parcel is returned? does the buyer have to pay more postage if she still wants the item? Shall i refund her via paypal if she doesn't and re list the item?
any help would be appreciated.

If they file an item not received claim you must refund them the full price they paid. Leaving you out of pocket for postage.
Adding a name to the address? The postman doesnt ask for lives there or the name of the person who signs for it so that was pointless.
Or did you sent to a different address? Which could have been risky as your ebay/paypal protection wouldnt apply. Unless it was added as an alternative address in their account.
When it comes back maybe a moan to ebay to say your now out of pocket because of this silly buyer.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
email them and ask why no one picked the item up. Say that RM kept it for a while and then returned to seller. Ask if they are still interested in receiving the item which would mean them paying again for P&P.
