Palm in tub

Hi All,
Novice gardener,i have had a palm in a large tub for a couple of years,all was well but just lately the leaves have gone a patcy yellow/brown colour.I have done nothing different in the watering and feeding

    My first option would be - Is it pot bound?

    2nd - watering, could be hard/soft or whatever the plant does not like.

    Do you know the type of palm? A yucca (which can grow quite huge) will discard it's lower leaves, and they will go browny yellow before dropping off.

    I think it is a canarian palm,i always bring it in during the winter months
