Bills during probate!!!!!!!

Hi
Having to deal with my deceased brothers estate which has to go through probate, there's a lot of expenses before we are likely to get any money back! The banks are not keen to help other than charging extortionate interest rates on short term loans, have looked at 0% credit cards but it looks like they come with a very low credit limit?
Would be grateful for any advice anyone could give??

Yes - don't pay the bills until after probate. They are not the responsibility of relatives

The bills will be paid out of the Estate, they are not your responsibility to pay out of your own funds. Your brother's bank will have frozen his account when you informed them he had passed away but they can pay some bills directly if you give them invoices, such as funeral expenses.

I agree with all previous replies - the representative of the estate needs only to tell the creditors that your brother is deceased (some will require a copy of the death certificate) and advise that payment will be made after probate.
