Cash on delivery

Sold large item on ebay and have offered to deliver it, the buyer wants to pay cod
i know all about cash on collection but is there any pitfalls in cod for me the seller

    biggest is you show up and they dont want it
    no money a lost fuel/time
  • i don't think there is. just 'don't' mark it as payment received until after they leave feedback because they could then say they paid and you didn't deliver....and you can't prove you didn't deliver to ebay.

    It's cash, it doesn't matter who marks what 'paid'

    If it's local, I would (and do) if it's a trek I ask for a payment up front to cover my travelling expenses.
    Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
    Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
