Are there any insurance companies who will cover me?
I have a conviction for section 5 public order offense and the missus is a discharged bankrupt (discharged 4 years ago).

Type of Insurance ?
Re offence, what was the penalty for this and how long ago ?The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -

If you only want insurance for yourself, then whatever your missus has done in the past won't be relevant.
Once your punishment for the offence is spent, then there will be no need to inform an insurer about it.0 -

fines need to be disclosed for 5 years from conviction unless the insurance question includes their own lower limit0

If I'm recalling right, Co-op don't ask about bankruptcy and only ask about convictions for dishonesty.0

assuming you are correct that's a very useful post for the OP0 -
Wasn't quite right. It's in their assumptions online:
You or anyone living with you have never been convicted of any criminal offence (other than motoring offences) and do not have any prosecutions pending.
But I still think they only consider dishonesty convictions material, so worth a call maybe.0 -
For house insurance the insurer will want to know about any permanent residents living at the home so your wife's bankruptcy would need to be disclosed.
Some insurers may consider but might want full payment rather than monthly DD.
As regards to the conviction, they usually only want to know about all unspent convictions which this obviously is not.
