Look at the "Renewal Notice"0

If you have continually paid a premium since 2001 and have never claimed or have anybody claim against you you have 11 years no claims.0

You may have had no claims for 11 years but as far as NCB you only have what you have written proof of !0 -
i phoned more than this morning and asked they said i only had 4 years,i said i was sure i brought no claims bonus from my last company, the lady checked and confirmed i had brought 5 years so i have 9 years in total.so if i move insurance company and they ask how much no claims bonus, will more than confirm the 9 years for me,as they said i only had 4 to begin with? another thing is it possible they have not taken into consideration all my ncb when sending my renewal prices out?
thanks

Some insurance companies won't be prepared to contact your old insurer to confirm this, you really need to get MoreThan to provide YOU with the written proof.0

Depends how many morethan put on the renewal though.
Some companies go upto 5 years no claims others 9 etc.. When the renewal comes sometimes they stop at their top figure.
Say you had 9 years with 9 on the renewal you may swap companies to one that uses 5 years max. When that renewal comes in you may get a renewal letter than says 5 years and thats all you can declare and prove next renewal.
They just stole 4 years off you.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
no idea how many they put on,i am going to change companies in december when my insurance runs out as i can get it about £175 cheaper for a like for like policy!0

If you have 9 or more claim free years then most companies will give you their best premium IMO.0

Hi, I completely agree, however as an example, I get a much lower price from say Aviva with 5 years ( 65%) quoted NCB than AXA with 90% discount.so it would be better just to phone them and send me the proof??
Definately phone them , I have been asked for written proof for the last few years.
Some insurance companies only go up to 5 years and those that go higher only seem to give around an extra 1% per year so sometimes you get a lower price with 5 years than others give with 9 years.
Each year you should photocopy your renewal so that you have a 'paper trail' of proof over several years.0
