Personal Lease vs Business Lease

I was on FB earlier and there was a link for Merc C class at £244, this was for a business users, but when I changed it to personal lease it went to £492.

Can anyone explain why personal lease is so much more expense than business lease?

Difficult to say without seeing the exact terms attached to each of the leases. VAT may be a factor. Also, the Personal one sounds rather like an HP instead of a lease - if you give more details of exactly what each contract provides, there will be more answers forthcoming, I am sure. Certain leases are only available to Business users, Personal Car finance on a contract tends to be mostly HP or those "balloon" type PCPs with a mega payment at the end unless you hand the car back. Business users would also benefit from better terms because companies generally get good deals when buying vehicles regularly from the same dealer network etc.

Usually only difference is VAT

Business lease may include servicing and VED.

So is the £244 for business still available, or is the £244 only there to entice you to click on their link?

Usually there is £ difference, but not 100%.
