Does ANYONE know what I can do with a HUGE box of out of date Epson Stylus Ink Cartridges that we no longer want?????
Don't know if recycling places will take them, and I'm fairly sure we can't sell them!
Thanks

Are they the ones with the print head on each cartridge (disposable print heads) in which case no harm trying to use them. Put them on Freecycle someone will come & collect.0

I'm pretty sure epson printers have their print heads in the printer and therefore the cartridges don't have print heads."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Sell them on eBay, just state the "use by" date to make it clear.0

I have bought cheap out of date Epson cartridges and never had any problems with them. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I once sold a slightly out of date cartridge on eBay and got an earful from a Swedish woman in London even though I clearly stated they were out of date
These are 2 years out of date though.
No they don't look like they have the print heads on them - they are single colours each so I presume you put several into the Stylus.
I don't even know if they're current!

They should still sell on eBay, some buyers just want them for refilling anyway.0

I would stick them on ebay but make sure you put that they are out of date on the auction description over and over to make it very clear that the buyer is aware they are out of date.
The date on an ink cartridge means very little, ink doesn't go off like food, if it was a built in head than it may become blocked but as you know epson carts are ink tanks and don't have a print head. I have used out of date HP ink which do have head built in without problems so I can't think there is a reason the epson ones won't work. the ink carts are usually sealed so air cant affect the ink anyway.0 -

I agree with the other posts that ebay may be your best bet. It's just unfortunate there will always be unreasonable people. I once had a nasty email from someone because they didn't sell a trailer tent for as much as they bought off me for. For some reason that made it my fault!?! But I still sell on ebay, luckily the majority are normal people."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I read somewhere that the date shown is very conservative - so they are probably ok0
