As above, it's not just postage, it's postage and packaging. They have to pay for the bag, possible bubble wrap etc. A lot of people also don't realise that paypal take a cut of the P&P charges too, IIRC it's 3.4%

If the packaging was adaquate I would be inclined to think that 75p wasn't too bad and wouldn't leave poor stars or feedback.

Fees aren't really supposed to be charged for - they should be charged to item price.

75p isn't too bad for reasonable packaging, I agree (though things can be sourced cheaper if the seller does a bit of work, and I rarely charge for it myself - a lot of good packaging is free for the asking at shops), but if someone came back to me with a line about their fees I would hit their stars slightly for it, because it's simply not allowed. I have fees too, but I account for that in the start price, either by using inclusive postage or keeping postage price to the bare minimum of stamp cost, so I'm not inclined to be well-disposed towards that element of it.

It's not free money to be spent on what the seller wants it to be spent, it has to be apportioned sensibly, as it does annoy buyers and that's what ultimately counts.

As for the stars, they sort out people keeping their paying customers happy from those who aren't. In any line of business if you charge what people feel is unreasonable, you lose business.
