Santander shocking!!

I wrote to Santander requesting a refund on my bank charges, which was knocked back, during the time I waited for a reply, I went into branch and requested copies of my bank statements. I was told that they do not hold any of my details as my account was closed in 2007.... if this is the case how have they made a decision not to repay my bank charges if they have nothing to go on??!! HELP :mad:

You should have told them exactly which charges you were asking to be considered to be refunded.

havent you just answered your own question?

Because the bank charges case was lost (by the OFT), the banks won and only exceptional circumstances are accepted now.
