Yeah why change it on such a low value car. Just say in the ad about the clutch etc.

They cannot hold on to your items so go and get them back. And only pay what you agreed too have done

After all they completed work that they had no permission to do, they may have not let her get her work things out her car wich inturn prevented her earning an income she may have left her things in there because she was told pick it up in a few hours now its stuck where it is for a days.

OP made a decision on getting the problems fixed before they developed further, agree they could have advertised it with the fault but thats the choice she made.

irrelevant if the OP is buying a new car and how much she earns its the principal that this company has ripped her off. isnt this a consumer rights forum? it was the last time i checked?
