ESA forms filled in

I have spinal injury L1 & L3.cant move from waist down.
I get HRC & HRM
My husband claims care for looking after me, and a extra allowance for me in his care payment. We do get income support.
I filled in ESA forms sent to me, dec last year. But i have never heard anything since,
I wake up every day looking for a brown envelope, but still nothing.
Have they forgotten me. i just wished i knew what was going on?
do i just leave everything as it is, i don't know if i get ESA ?
Do i just keep my mouth shut and wait to see what happens next?

it could be that theyve moved you onto ESA based pm the information on the ESA50.

look on your bank statement. it will show as DWPIS pr DWPESA.

if its still IS. then just phone and ask whats happening
  • It says DWPIS, So i don't know what is going on?
Think i will leave it a while before i phone them , had chest pain over weekend and now found out i have wolf-parkinson-white-syndrome. Cant be doing with stress just now.

You are under no obligation to push - as long as you have filled in the letters properly.
    However.
As they seem not to have made a decision, if your condition has now worsened, or the reason for it has changed, or you've gotten more evidence about your condition, it may be wise sometime soon letting them know.
As in principle, you are required to let them know about changes, and in practice it may lead to more likelyhood of an award.
  • Thanks for replies.
I phoned income support yesterday, they said the ESA form was just so my husband/carer would be able to carry on with our benefits when the new ones come in force,
So i don't need to do anything. i feel much better now thanks for your help.:A
