My Troubled Cars Pt2: My 307 dilemma

My 307 hdi was an absolute money pit, with massive bills at every turn. Dual mass flywheel, EGR, FAP system, injectors, turbo. About the only thing I didn't have was the fuel pump, which is also a common problem as you have found out. Luckily most of mine was under warranty, but the garage had the car more than I did and it was always bodge jobs to keep me going for another 2k miles. Had a replacement turbo, within 4k miles, the recon turbo went.
Every single problem on these cars seem to cause massive costs, often more than the car is worth.
Yeah I just don't think I can get much if I sell it as it is (intermittent fault, etc.). Then I have to use that money to get another car. It seems I'm stuck going from banger to banger!

my adive is to get a scrappy pump (write the numbers off your pump down and hand to guy in scrappy to double check the they match), dont have it fitted and sell it with it.
so your ad will read theres a problem with fuel pump i have a salvage pump at the ready for the next owner to fit (pump was tested before removal and working ok) (if thats the case).

my advice would to be online auction no reserve, starting price at £800.
describe all the faults as accurately as possible and go from there.0
