Natwest Student credit card default notice

in Credit cards
Hello, I recently received a letter with my balance being £568 and arrears of £79.45.
It says
"Account termination. A default notice was recently served on you. As the amount requested in the Default notice has not been received, your account has been terminated. Full payment of your oustanding debt is now required. If your payment has been received in 14 days and you have not contacted us within this time to discuss repayment of the debt, your account will be passed to our Debt recovery office. As your account has not been cancelled, please return your card to this office. etc.
I have had lots of mental health problems the past few months and haven't kept on top of my bills, also I think letters were being sent to my previous uni house.
I am in no position to pay this off at the moment, because I haven't been able to work because I've been ill.
Umm...help?
Any suggestions
I know how stupid I am

The most important thing is not to ignore it, ring them ASAP and explain the situation, ask about setting a reasonable payment plan to pay in installments. It's worth working out how much you can reasonably pay before ringing them. They will usually allow you a reasonable time to pay.
There are a couple of charities which will help you set up a DMP (debt management plan) if necessary but if this is the only bill you're behind on it's probably easier to settle it between you and the company.0
