How do you haggle

Anyone got any tips on how you haggle on the phone to car insurance companies?
Obviously I am using compariosn websites and have found the best quote I can. I just wondered if anyone has then phoned up and managed to agree an even lower premium. If so... how did you do it? What should I try?

Used to do this a lot before internet comparison sites, phone company 1 and get their best price then take off £20/10% and ask company 2 to beat or match.

Repeat as many times as you can stand - real pain having to give details over and over again, I'm glad to have comparison sites now.

Your joking right? I did the meerkat comparison and got quotes of ....

Be prepared for sorry we cannot match that and goodbye. If your going with them anyway whatever the price ist harder.

You need to do the, Cant you do better than that. Ive got some quotes a bit cheaper. But dont really want the bother or swapping.

I have a couple I keep with the same company. I always haggle.

"Is that your best price"
"I'd like to stay but can you beat last years"
"How can we get this cheaper"

It always works, and I always get a good deal.
