Hi folks,
I have a pcspecialist pc 2 and half years old that has an fsp psu and thefan has been making a lot of noise occasionally for about a year now. Can gofine for a few mths then when you switch computer on in the morning loud noisefrom fan in psu. Switching computer off and then on again usually makes themoise go away. Definitely the psu fan as I have had a good old listen andstopped the other fans temporarily.
It’s the kind of psu with one fan I believe at the bottom part of psu insidecase, would love to be able to replace fan to save money but a bit nervousabout fiddling around inside a psu.
Just wondering is this psu good,

Just want to make sure that I have enough sata connectors on it. I have 2hard drives in computer, 2 DVD drives, one card reader, an asus M4A785TD-EVOmotherboard
Thanks for any help

Its an ok PSU, single rail stable voltage and supplies very close to its advertised wattage.

Under tech specs, it has 8 SATA connectors so plenty for you.0 -
Thanks for reply.
Am I right in thinking that if I was to open the old psu to replace fan it wouldn't be really that simple, there would probably be wires to cut or solder rather than a case of just slipping a new fan in and hooking it up with one of those like power plugs?
If buying a new psu I want the quietest one if possible, willing to pay up to £80, so any advice appreciated in that regard
Thanks again

Antec, Seasonic, Corsair, Ocz, are just a few of the big names in PSU.
This is the one I use and it does what's asked of it.
