Like everyone else we have been inundated with slugs this year, but in the last couple of weeks we've had them coming into our conservatory, only they don't look like normal slugs!
They are about 1 and a bit inches in length, darkish brown and only tiny nubs where the feelers would normally be. They usually die in there and go hard and crispy so I'm not sure what they are like when they are 'fresh' so to speak! They leave the normal silver slug trails all over the mats.
Yesterday and today the room was also inundated with flies.
To be honest the slug things look more like rejects from the film Alien that anything else!
Does anyone know what they are, or are they just baby slugs do you think?
many thanks

Thanks. I had a quick look at google images but couldn't see anything that looked like it.
It does look like a leech, but without the Mick Jagger kisser!!!
Will go out early and try and find out what a non-dessicated one looks like.0 -
Apparently we have been invaded by Spanish slugs this year, they are meant to be bigger and hungrier lolKeely0

I have found over the last few days holes in the compost of some of my greenhouse plants.
It looks like something has tunneled underneath the compost.
Does anyone know if this could be slugs?0 -
