london hotel booked -where can I park??
Hi , My husband has organised a weekend away in London (bless) it will be our first time away since having our kids-13 years ago. The trouble is he didnt really consider travel arrangements. We are staying at Leicester Square can anyone recommend a reasonably priced car park or is it better to park out side and travel in? Any help will be appreciated as we leave in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried calling the hotel and asking their advice? I bet they get asked the same question 10 times a day. The concierge should be able to tell you the cheapest parking around (the hotel may have its own?) Enjoy your weekend!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

on street parking in the City of London is Pay and display. After 11am on Sat and all day Sun is free. 8-11 on Sat am is £2.00.
The roads in the city of London (east of St pauls) are deserted at the weekends. You could hire a boris bike (or 2) from the street you park in and ride to your hotel. If you can make it in 30 mins the hire of the bike is free (well £1 to 'register') pack light!!

I think you best bet is to park at an outer London tube station. It can work out a lot cheaper and is less agro than driving into the city. You will not have to worry about congestion charges or finding your way. Will have a look tomorrow for suitable stations unless someone gets there first.0

parking outside of london at Stanmore is a popular option. £1.50 sat and £1.00 sun.

car park operated by ncp. Just off the M1 (J4). We live in Burton on Trent and wuld use the M1. I suppose you may be approaching from M40 so not sure which might be a better station0 -
See someone got there first !0

What day / time do you arrive in London as there's plenty of free parking in central London after certain times of the day at the weekend0
